After many years of proven record as an engineer and a trainer in international technical companies and educational – alongside experience as a teacher for adults and children, Technical Editor, author, department, project manager and coach – I decided to offer my knowledge, experience and creativity as a freelancer and founded the company “Goal-Electronic Print Media & Training Services” in Cologne.
Regarding my academic background and studies, I am a “Doctor of Philosophie (Dr. phil.), Master of Science in Information Engineering (M.Sc.)” and “Telecommunication Engineer (Dipl.-Ing. für Nachrichtentechnik)”. In my professional career, I have gained experience in many fields across technical companies, educational and scientific institutions and non-profit organisations.
Running my own company as a freelancer for over 20 years and serving as the managing director of two transportation firms for more than a decadehave both proven and strengthened my management capabilities.
Moreover I have consistently applied the professionalism and flexibility of teaching, the expertise and the autonomy in Technical Documentation, the competence in project and development management, the professionalism by creating an access database and respective data processing, the technical skills für database development and data processing, the efficiency of complete administrative work through our virtual office as well as the ability to create and maintain websites. My long standing social commitments have further enhanced my project management experience.
Training and Mentorship
Teaching and mentoring have always been core passions of mein. Highlights of my educational engagement include: lectures on feminist and technical topics at “FOM University of Economics and Management Cologne”, MINT Summer University of the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Human Sciences at the University of Cologne or at the “Women Welcome Week of the University of Koblenz-Landau” are some respective examples. Organising and leading corporate training, such as: Manager of Documentation and Training Department of the international telecommunication company TelesensKSCL, organising the intensive training courses for individuals, groups and clubs e.g. the Go Digital course of the Karl Arnold foundation and the club Human Rights in 21st Century, mentoring in the Mentegra project of the Compententia Regional Cologne, Competence Center Women and Work of the City of Cologne, development of tailored training materials are other aspects of my training offer in the market.
We also offer workshops and customized in-house consulting. adopted to each client´s needs and requirements.
Recognition & Software Development
In 2010 our company received a grant from the Ministry of Research and Higher Education in North Rhein-Westphalia for its efforts to enhance career opportunities and employability in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Managing the financial procedures of all three above mentioned firms has also broaded my expanded my knowledge in economical sphere. Regarding my technical background we have developed our own accounting software and implemented it by the clients of Goal EPMTS over the past 16 years. This Software supports the collection and archiving of documents, the monitoring and tracking of paymentand the creation of financial statistics. We now offer this tool to our clients – or they may outsource their preparatory accounting directly to us.
Writing and Technical Documentation Expertise
Writing has always been one of my hobbies. I have explored it academically with my diploma thesis at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne as well. Later, as the Manager of Documentation and Training Department of an international Telecommunication firm I authored and released a wide range of technical books, brochures and leaflets in both printed or digital formats. Over the time I have also published books and articles in feminist, technical or sociological topics in multiple languages. This has also enhanced my experience in writing documentations. As a result our customers now benefit from our high quality and cost efficient manuals, whitepapers, brochures, templates, as well as custom-designed professional leaflets supported as well as getting individual and competent support.
